Take one part old school diner, add a scoop of sophisticated wine bar, a sprinkle of provocative Parisian allure, and you get the Roosevelt’s new sexed-up burger bar, 25 Degrees.
From the creators of Meson G, the Dakota, and other LA hotspots, Tim and Liza Goodell's latest place-to-be is filled with black and chrome mirrored tiles, bright red wallpaper, flat-screen TVs, leather banquettes, and a long wooden counter perfect for communal consumption.
It’s the kind of place where you would imagine Paris eating a burger—that is when she’s not washing her car at the same time. Minimalist menu items include ground sirloin burgers, turkey burgers, and hot dogs with a slew of unusual gourmet cheeses like Neal's Yard Cheddar and Midnight Moon gouda-style goat cheese. Be sure to sample a few of their signature sauces like the smoky chipotle and garlic parmesan with a giant order of half pommes frites, half onion rings served in an oversized Chinese takeout box.
In an unusual twist, 25 Degrees features a huge 50-plus list of wines offered by the half bottle and slightly sinful jug that comes in a variety of mind-numbing sizes.
